Mozart also composed dozens of concert arias for solo voice and instrumental accompaniment. The concerto aria for soprano, Alcandro, Io confesso…Non so d’onde (Alcandro, I confess…I know not where) was written in Mannheim, on February 24^th,  1778, to a text by Metastasio, for the soprano Aloysia Weber, sister of his future wife Constanze Weber.
