The Crossing and Reflections - for Piano and String Quartet

'The Crossing' and 'Reflections' are two solo piano pieces by Ola Gjeilo, which are featured on his debut album for Decca Classics. Regarding 'Reflections', the composer says, "The dynamic changes are quite subtle and difficult to convey accurately in notation, so I left most of them open." Through his keyboard works, Ola Gjeilo aims to achieve simplicity and subtlety, conveying a sense of insightfulness, detachment and sensitivity.
