About the work
POLONAISE-FANTAISIE, Op. 61, dedicated to Madame A. Veyret, was written and published in 1846. With its harmonic richness and extraordinary form, it immediately attracted the attention of performers at the time and later became a permanent fixture in the repertoire of major pianists such as Claudio Arrau, Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz and dozens of contemporary musicians.
