Fantaisie pastorale hongroise, Op.26

"Fantasie Pastorale Hongroise" (Hungarian Pastoral Fantasy) for flute and orchestra, Op. 26 is one of the most frequently performed works by Franz Doppler. Written in the 1870s originally for flute and piano, it was inspired by the beauty of Hungarian melodies. The flute part is stunning for its virtuosity, beautiful lines and unusual textures.
