Concerto for Violoncello & Orchestra

The Cello Concerto is a joint commission of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Konzerthaus Wien, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. The work was first performed on March 18^th, 2022 at the Konzerthaus Wien. The soloist was Gautier Capuçon, the work was performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Robertson. Two days later - on March 20^th - the work was performed again, and then - in May - it was played by the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada. In November of the same year, the concerto was performed in the USA by the San Francisco Symphony.
