"Chin-Chin" for Trumpet and Orchestra

Astor Piazzolla's Chin-Chin is a short, spectacular piece that fully lives up to the meaning of its title (Chin-Chin literally translated from Italian means "Cheers", but it can also mean "casual, unhurried conversation"). In the music, which has a distinctly improvisatory character, references to the famous Oblivion, one of the composer's most famous pieces can be clearly detected. Chin-Chin has numerous transcriptions for various formations and instruments, including one for trumpet.
