Credo in E minor, RV 591
About the work
"Credo" in E minor, RV591, is a remarkable work by Vivaldi, and the only one in which the text of the Nicene Creed is used. The work is original not only in its choice of text, but also in its musical solutions in the lamenting third movement Crucifixus, the prayerful second movement, the glorifying first movement, and the identical finale ending with a fugue.
