Slavonic Dance No.2, op. 72 in e minor

SLAVONIC DANCE No. 2 Op. 72 (E minor). It is titled "Starodávný" (old-time dance). It is calm and elegant, in tempo Allegretto grazioso and although not distinctly danceable, the rhythm of the mazurka is felt. The beautiful melodies are reminiscent of the Ukrainian 'dumka' - old folk songs with instrumental accompaniment, usually of a balladic character, which are common in Slavic countries.
