"The Art of Baroque" Festival Orchestra

“Baroque Arts” Orchestra was established in 2013 and has continuously expanded to include students from the class of Early chamber music at the National Academy of Music Sofia, led by Zefira Valova, as well as prominent participants in the master classes accompanying the Baroque Arts Festival. The ensemble's repertoire includes premiere performances for Bulgaria of works by Biber, Durante, Fiorenza, Pergolesi, Pisendel, C.P.E. Bach and others. After the implementation of the project "Platform for Balkan cooperation in the field of Еarly music" as part of the program of the National Fund "Culture", more Bulgarian musicians trained and actively performing abroad have been involved. This has allowed the ensemble to participate in larger-scale projects such as its two concerts with Sonya Yoncheva and performances of Handel’s opera Amadigi di Gaula in 2023. Rebirth is the orchestra’s second collaboration with the star soprano, following their Handel concert in April this year.
