Tatiana Grindenko

Tatiana Grindenko graduated from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Prof. Yuriy Yankelevich. She is a winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, Wieniawski Competition and other important competitions. As a soloist she has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Leipzig Gewandhaus orchestras, Symphony Orchestras of Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Milan and Rome, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Moscow and St. Petersburg under Yuri Temirkanov, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Kurt Sanderling, Kurt Mazur, Heinz Holliger, Vladimir Ashkenazi. In 1982 she founded the Moscow Academy of Ancient Music, the first baroque ensemble in Eastern Europe. In 1999 she formed “Opus Posth”. Ensemble which collaborates with leading video-art designers and poets in multimedia projects and performs contemporary music by Martynov, Pärt, Glass, Xenakis, Knaifel, Gerber, Dresher and Adams. Composers have dedicated numerous works to her. She played concerts with Mstislav Rostropovich, Andreas Staier, Yuri Bashmet, Valeri Afanassiev, Alexey Lyubimov. Of particular importance is her collaboration with Gidon Kremer. Works by Alfred Schnittke (Concerto Grosso No. 1), Arvo Pärt (“Tabula Rassa”) as well as Luigi Nono's last piece “Hay que caminar ‘sognando” where dedicated to this duet. Tatiana Grindenko has managed numerous theatre productions and performances. Her wide discography consist of the list published under such labels as Melodiya, Ondine, Deutsche Grammophon, Long Arms Records, and many others. For outstanding artistic activity, Tatiana Grindenko received highest state awards from Russian Federation.
