Tamilla Sadigbayli

TAMILLA SADIGBAYLI is a conductor and pianist with an active performance profile in Austria. She served as musical assistant for Franz Lehár’s operetta The Merry Widow at Tabor Castle and, in 2023, worked as a rehearsal pianist for Verdi’s Aida in Gars am Kamp. In July 2024, she was engaged as a répétiteur for Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. She has conducted six of the nine performances of Ralph Benatzky’s operetta Im weißen Rössl (The White Horse Inn) with the Brandenburg Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at Tabor Castle, as well as Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater. In the summer of 2025, Sadigbayli made her return to Tabor Castle as an assistant conductor for the festival season. As a conductor, she has collaborated with the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra, the Allegra Festival Orchestra, the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra at Schönbrunn Palace, the Webern Chamber Philharmonic, the Webern Symphony Orchestra, the Brandenburg Youth Philharmonic, the Jucundus Ensemble, the Vienna Concert Association at the Konzerthaus, and the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra. Born in Baku, she began her musical education there before continuing her studies in Vienna. She is currently pursuing degrees in orchestral conducting with Mark Stringer and opera coaching with Andreas Henning at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she is expected to graduate in 2026. Her mentors also include conductors Johannes Schlaefli and Sian Edwards.
