Biography

Acclaimed for her refined expression and versatile tonal palette, pianist Soo Jung Park has garnered international recognition, winning second prize at the Ettlingen International Piano Competition after securing major victories in several Korean competitions. An accomplished soloist, she has showcased her remarkable skill with leading orchestras, including the Seoul National Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, and TBC Symphony Orchestra. She has given solo recitals at distinguished events such as the Korea Liszt Competition's Invitational Recital, the Kumho Young Artist Recital, and the Music Festival for Young Artists. Internationally, she has performed chamber music with the Daimon Quartet at Kings Place Hall in London and appeared as an invited artist in Los Angeles, as well as participating in contemporary music projects like Studio 2021 at Seoul National University.

Dr. Park holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Seoul National University. She also earned an Artist Diploma from The Colburn Conservatory of Music(USA), a Master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music(UK), and a Bachelor's degree from Korea National University of Arts. Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians, she currently teaches at Seoul National University, Sejong University, Soongsil University, Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Kaywon High School of Arts.
