Roger Przytulski

American composer Roger Przytulski was born in 1976 in Detroit into a family of Polish-Chinese immigrants. He studied at the California State University, Long Beach, and at the University of Southern California. As a composer, his works have been performed throughout the world by various ensembles including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, Classic FM Orchestra, Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Bourgas Opera Philharmonic, USC Thornton Symphony, Varna Opera Philharmonic, South Coast Symphony, Colburn Chamber Orchestra, and the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has received commissions from chamber groups including the Triada Guitar Trio and Ironworks Percussion Duo. Also involved in film, he has written scores for several prize-winning short films that were presented at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood and has had his music appear in documentaries on the History Channel. As a performer, he has worked with Helmut Rilling and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the American Jazz Philharmonic, the Cypress Pops Orchestra, South Coast Symphony, Pete Jacobs War Time Radio Review, and jazz artists, Dewey Erney and Buddy Collette to list only a few. Currently, Roger Przytulski serves on the faculty of Long Beach City College. He has served as composer-in-residence for the Fortissimo Fest, Pasadena Youth Symphony, Bakersfield Youth Symphony, etc.
