The Italian tenor PIETRO ADAINI was born in Catania. He studied singing and music with the baritone Salvo Todaro, in 2011 he attended a masterclass with the tenor Marcello Giordani, currently he studies with the tenor Salvatore Fisichella. He was one of the finalists in the International Singing Competition Voci dal Mediterraneo-Premio Archimede in Syracuse (2011/2012). In 2014, he won a scholarship at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and made his debut in the roles of Rudolph in Puccini’s La Boheme and Nemorino in Donizetti’s Love Potion. At the beginning of 2015 he successfully performed in Treviso and Ferrara the role of Albazar in Rossini’s A Turk in Italy. He performed the roles of Beppe in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and Ernesto in Don Pasquale by Donizetti in various Italian opera houses. Among his engagements in the recent years are Rossini’s Cinderella in Verona and Piacenza; Donizetti’s Daughter of the Regiment in Palermo, Oman and Beijing; Verdi’s Don Pasquale in Bergamo and Falstaff in Genoa; Rossini’s The Barber of Seville in Florence and The Italian in Algiers in Palermo; and Nino Rota’s The Straw Hat of Florence in Naples; Rossini’s The Silken Ladder in Oman; Verdi’s Rigoletto conducted by Daniel Oren in Salerno; Bellini’s Somnambula at the Teatro Reggio in Turin; Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi in Ancona and Brescia; Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor in Verona; Rossini’s Journey to Reims in Rome, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and in Verona. He sang in the Lehar’s operetta The Merry Widow by in Genoa. He participated in the special Gala for Rolex (recorded by MediciTv) and Rossini’s birthday concert in Pesaro, in Handel’s oratorio Messiah in Catania. In August 2023 he performed the Cantata in honour of the Supreme Pontiff Pius IX and the Le Postillon de Lonjumeau by Adam at the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl. His future engagements include Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Verona, Cinderella in Lima and at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Rossini’s L’equivoco stravagante at the Pesaro Opera Festival, The Barber of Seville in Trento, Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Circuito Lombardo.
