Petar Petrov (b.1966)

PETAR PETROV was born in 1966 in Stara Zagora. Graduated from the National Academy of Music in Sofia in the class of Prof. Ressa Koleva in 1993, and in 1995 specialized with Nicola Ghiuselev in Academia Bulgara per Arte e Culture „Boris Christoff” in Rome, Italy. From 1998 to 2003 was a soloist in State Opera - Stara Zagora. He has participated in productions of Don Carlos, Aida, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Ernani, Nabucco, Attila, Carmen, La Boheme, Tosca, The Barber of Seville, Love Potion, Lud Gidiya (A Madcap), Hitar Petar (Sly Peter). As a soloist of the opera he has also participated in productions in Germany, Italy and Greece. He has been working at the National Philharmonic Choir since 2007.
