Pavel Penev

Pavel Penev was born in 1984 in Ruse. He graduated from the Vesselin Stoyanov National School of Arts in his home town in 2003 in the violin class by Anelia Popova. His education continued at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia, where he studied with Prof. Yosif Radionov, and from 2011 to 2013 specialized in the violin class of prof. Mario Hossen at the New Bulgarian University. In 2007, he entered the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, serving in 2009-2013 as its concertmaster. He continues his creative career in Spain and since December 2015 has been a titular member of the Balearic Islands Orchestra in Palma de Mallorca, where he played under the baton of Julian Rachlin, Giuliano Carmignola, Jonathan Cohen, Leopold Hager, Leonard Slatkin and others.
