OLGA MIHAYLOVA-DINOVA graduated from the National Academy of Music – Sofia in 1992 under Prof. Sima Ivanova. She made her debut on the stage of the National Opera in the same year, singing the part of Rosina from Rossini’s The Barber from Sevilla. In the following years she gave successful performances of central roles in Mozart’s operas Cosi fan tutte and The Marriage of Figaro, Rossini’s The Italian in Algeria, Bizet’s Carmen, Bellini’s Norma, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Verdi’s Il Trovatore and Don Carlos. She also appeared in performances of op- erettas and musicals: Gypsy Baron and Bat by J. Strauss, Die Bajadere from Kalman, Schönberg’s Miss Saigon, Webber’s Cats and West Side Story by Bernstein. Performed the mezzo-soprano parts in a number of cantatas and oratorios, including Bach’s Matthaus Passion and Johannes Passion, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem, to name just a few. She gives thematic chamber concerts featuring music by French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Bulgarian composers, as well as contemporary classical and popular music. She has released records for the Bulgarian National Radio and the Bulgarian National Television and in 2009 issued a solo compactdisc with songs by Todor Popov. Participated in performances of the Varna Opera as Princess Eboli in Don Carlos, sang the mezzo solo in the oratorio Supplication by Bulgarian composer Nayden Andreev and in the Hello Broadway concert.
