Mitko Shterev

Mitko Shterev (1946) is a popular Bulgarian film music composer. His name is linked to the following film titles – Adaptaion, Doomed Souls, The Racket, Cry for Help, My Darling My Darling, The Stand-In, and Over the Hills of Time, which are all Bulgarian film classics. Shterev was born in Yambol in 1946. He created the band, Diana Express in 1974 and for over ten years his artistic life was linked exclusively to this band. He also composed a number of pop songs for Lili Ivanova, Emil Dimitrov, Vassil Naydenov, and Margarita Hranova, among others. In 1996, the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers named Shterev as the Film Composer of the Century.
