Milko Kolarov

Milko Kolarov (b. 1946) graduated from the National Academy of Music in 1973 majoring in Composition under Professor Pancho Vladigerov and Orchestral Conducting under Professor Konstantin Iliev. He specialised in Paris (1986-87). He has had a rich artistic, performance and pedagogic activity. In 2001, he was appointed Associated Professor of Polyphony and Symphony Orchestration at the Free University in Varna. He composed two ballets and two operas; an oratorio and a suite for choir and orchestra; symphony music; solo and choral songs, instrumental works, theatre and film music. His compositions were published, recorded and performed in Russia, Italy, the UK, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Japan, France, etc.
