The young Serbo-Croatian saxophonist MARKO DZOMBA has an active international career as a classical musician, performing as a soloist and chamber musician. Marko is the winner of international and national competitions such as the Austrian Rising Star Award, the ADMC Illzach in France, the CRDM in Italy, the Svirel Prize in Slovenia (where he also received two special prizes), the Windisch Chamber Music Competition, Musica Juventutis ... He is a three-time laureate of the Serbian National Competition and has been awarded with the Serbian Culture Prize "Talent of the Year" twice. He was also the winner of the Tokyo Foundation audition and a scholarship holder of the Thyl-Dürr Foundation and the Josef Windisch Foundation. He has performed concerts in England, France, Italy, China, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Japan, Serbia, Norway, Romania, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic. Marko’s concerts include appearances as a soloist with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra China, Sofia Philharmonic, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (Moscow), the Beethoven Philharmonic (Austria), the Brasov Philharmonic (Romania), the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic (South Bavaria), the Webern Chamber Philharmonic and the Vienna Jeunesse Orchester in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Slovenian Armed Forces Orchestra. Marko Dzomba has appeared on radio and television stations such as ORF, Radio Ö1, Radio Klassik Stephansdom, RTVSLO and Klassikradio Germany. In 2018, together with German-Japanese pianist Sylvia Kimiko Krutz, he founded the Dzomba-Krutz duo in Vienna and has been actively performing. The duo's repertoire includes works by contemporary composers, including pieces commissioned especially for them. Marko Dzomba lives in Vienna and is a Yamaha, D'addario, and SCV - artist. As a Yamaha artist, he is one of the saxophonists who participated in the development of the Yamaha electric saxophone. He plays 24 Carat, gold-plated, Custom EX saxophones, D'addario RESERVE Reeds and SCV Ligatures.
