Biography

LILI BOGDANOVA was born in 1994 in Sofia. She graduated from the piano class of Emilia Kaneva at the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music and then continued her studies at the Professor Pantcho Vladigerov National Academy of Music with Prof. Borislava Taneva. In 2015/16 she studied at the Vincenzo Bellini Institute of Music in Catania with Daniele Petralia. She is currently a student at one of the most prestigious music academies - the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin, in the class of Prof. Eldar Nebolsin. She is the winner of the Young ftusician of the Year 2014 Prize awarded by the Bulgarian National Radio’s Allegro Vivace program, as well as a number of other prizes from international competitions in Bulgaria, Italy, ftorocco, England and the Czech Republic. In 2014 Lili Bogdanova released her first compact disc under the title The Girl with the Flaxen Hair. She perfroms at concerts as a soloist and a chamber musician and as a soloist of orchestras across Europe, America and Asia, including the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Rousse Philharmonic, New Symphony Orchestra, the Vidin Sinfonietta, the Athens Sinfonietta (Greece), ftozart Virtuoso Orchestra of Tokyo, Columbia County Orchestra (Georgia, USA) among others. She has participated in numerous master classes (Musica Mundi, Belgium; the Mozarteum Summer Academy, Austria; the ISAft Summer Academy, Germany, to name just a few), where she worked with renowned music pedagogues such as Andrey Gavrilov, Daniel Pollack, Christopher Elton, Elena Ashkenazi, Leslie Howard, Gavril Lipkind, Stephen Iserlis, Itamar Golan, among others. Since 2017, Lili Bogdanova is the recipient of a scholarship by the Swiss Clavarte Foundation, as well as the German Deutschlandstipendium.
