Kristjan Järvi

KRISTJAN JÄRVI is a contemporary conductor, producer, and composer who has developed his own distinctive artistic style through his work with various musical ensembles. Among them are the New York - based Absolute Ensemble, which blends classical, hip-hop and jazz, as well as the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, BSP Experience, and his latest project, Nordic Pulse, through which he creates original productions. Nordic Pulse is a select group of musicians functioning as an independent ensemble. The ensemble creates its own music within the framework of Järvi’s established Creativity Labs, using orchestral instruments in a new context. The group has performed and recorded with artists such as Coldplay - including at the Glastonbury Festival - Nico Muhly, and Robot Koch. In addition to its concert activities, Nordic Pulse actively records soundtracks for international films and TV series in modern studio settings. Among its latest projects is the music for Tom Tykwer’s film Das Licht, which premiered in 2025. Järvi’s artistic work also extends through his production companies Sunbeam Productions and Estoniia MUSE, with which he creates new models for multisensory stage experiences, interactive spaces, and festival formats. He is a recording artist for BMG – Modern Recordings, where he released his debut album Nordic Escapes. In parallel, with Sunbeam Productions, he has produced numerous film and television soundtracks with the Estonian Film Orchestra in studios in Tallinn. Among his most recent recordings are Das Licht (film music) and On the Break of Dawn.
