Kim Dong-Jin

Biography

Korean composer Kim Dong-jin (1913–2009) was born in South Pyeongan Province, now in North Korea. The Japan-studied violinist and composer moved to the South during the Korean War and later taught music at Sorabol Arts College, now Jung-Ang University College of Arts, and Kyunghee University. He composed “Gagopa”, “Bomiyomyeon” (When spirng comes), “Moknyeonhwa” (Magnolia) and other pieces.
