An accomplished professional and con- firmed individuality, KALINA HRISTOVA has functioned for the last fifteen years as concert master of the Sofia Philharmonic. Her artistic presence offers exceptional professionalism with superb tech- nique and beautiful, richly nuanced sound. Kalina Hristova regularly performs at con- certs as soloist of numerous orchestras in Bulgaria and abroad. She has given recitals in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara, and played with the Kansai Philharmonic. Participated as soloist and chamber performer on the most prestigious Bulgarian festivals. She is the winner of awards from national and in- ternational competitions and has released a number of recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio and the Bulgarian National Television.
Kalina Hristova is a graduate of the National Academy of Music in Sofia from the violin class of Prof. Elissaveta Kazakova. During her study she left for Turin, Italy, where she specialized with Prof. Mariana Sirbu. She gained experience with ensemble music performance as concert master of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra from 1993 to 2000.
