Jacques Cohen

Jacques Cohen is known equally as a conductor and composer. He graduated both Oxford and the Royal College of Music, where he won a coveted conducting scholarship. As conductor, he has worked with the BBC Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Bucharest Philharmonic and countless other groups in the UK and abroad. His compositions have been performed internationally by Yehudi Menuhin Orchestra, Sofia Soloists, Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra and Primrose Piano Quartet among many others. He is Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Cohen Ensemble, (formerly the Isis Ensemble), who perform regularly at London’s Southbank Centre and around the UK.
