IVAYLO DZHUROV was born in Ruse. He studied chamber singing at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the Netherlands from 1991 to 1994. In 1996 he made his debut on the concert podium in the Easter Oratorio by J.S.Bach. Since 1998 he has been actively participating in concerts and sound recordings of Church Slavonic chants, cantata-oratorio and opera works together with the Mixed Choir and the BNR Symphony Orchestra. In 2001, Ivaylo Dzhurov made his stage debut as Figaro in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in Bruges, Belgium.
Since 2003 he has toured on all Bulgarian opera stages and participated in numerous tours in Europe and North America. The main opera repertoire of the singer includes the parts of: Figaro from The Marriage of Figaro and Leporello from Don Juan by Mozart, Ramphis from Aida, Banco from Macbeth, Philip II from Don Carlos and Zacharia from Nabucco by Verdi, Colin from La Boheme and Timur from Turandot by Puccini, Escamillo from Carmen by Bizet and others.
Ivaylo Dzhurov also performs numerous cantata-oratorio works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Verdi, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich and others.
