Biography
ISKRENA IVANOVA (Mezzo-soprano) graduated in Opera Singing from the Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov National School of Arts in Ruse in the class of Georgi Deliganiev. She then studied at the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music " in Sofia with two majors: Opera Singing (in the class of Prof. Blagovesta Karnobatlova - Dobreva) and Music Pedagogy. She has taken part in concert performances of operas with the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra and performances of the Ruse State Opera at home and abroad (Germany, France, Spain, Italy). Since 2003 she has been a chorister in the National Philharmonic Choir. Under the baton of one of its conductors, Iliya Mihailov, she participated as a soloist in the performance of "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein. Iskrena Ivanova is also passionate about Eastern Orthodox music. For twenty years she has been singing in the Chamber Mixed Choir at the Church of the The shroud of the Holy Mother in Sofia, conducted by Dimitar Stoyanov, performing in prestigious Orthodox music festivals and successful concert projects.
