Gottfried Hasanov

Gottfried (Dzhabrail) Gasanov (1900–1965) was a North Caucasian composer, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1960), and a laureate of two Stalin Prizes (1949, 1951). He was the founder of the Dagestan professional music, the initiator of foundation and the first director of the Dagestan musical college, the founder and the head of the Union of composers of Dagestan.
