Biography

GÖKHAN AYBULUS was born in Eskişehir, Türkiye and admitted to the Anatolian University State Conservatory where he started learning the piano with Zohrap Adıguzelzade. Later on he continued his studies with Naum Shtarkman and S. Dorensky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow where he also attended piano and chamber music classes of Pavel Nersesian, Ruvim Ostrovsky, Andrey Pisarev, Nikolai Lugansky and Nina Kogan, completing his doctorate in 2009. Aybulus performed in the most prestigious halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm and Samara. Also he was placed in many national and international competitions. He achieved worldwide recognition through the concerts that he gave with world-renowned artists such as Naum Shtarkman, Natalia Gutman, Nikolai Lugansky, Dora Schwarzberg, Alexander Bouzlov, Daniel Hope, Roman Simovich and Alexander Kagan. He also performed at international festivals such as Carniola Music Festival (Slovenia), Bruckner Music Festival (Austria) and Bella Pais (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) and gave recitals and concerts in Türkiye, United States of America, Germany, Austria, Italia, Spain, Slovenia, France, Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and China. Aybulus has also performed with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Samara Philharmonic, Ukranian National Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and all the leading Turkish orchestras in many prominent national and international concert halls such as Brucknerhaus, Wiener Konzerthaus, Philharmonie Essen, Grand Hall at Tchaikovsky Conservatory, National Performance Center in Beijing (NCPA), Xinghai Concert Hall, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Maribor Union Hall, Sarajevo National Theatre and Vijećnica, Albert Long Hall. He also represented Türkiye as a jury member in international piano and chamber music competitions. From 2010 to 2023, he worked at Uludağ University and Anadolu University, and in 2023, he was appointed as a Professor at the Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts. In addition to giving solo recitals and chamber music concerts both domestically and internationally, Aybulus is invited to perform as a soloist with orchestras in Türkiye and abroad.
