Biography

GEORGI BEYKOV was born into a family of musicians. He studied piano at the Children’s Music School of the National Music School “Prof. Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia. He graduated from the National High School of Arts “Konstantin Kiril Filosof,” where he sang in the school choir. Since 2017, he has been a chorister with the National Philharmonic Choir of the Sofia Philharmonic. In 2021, he completed a degree in Cultural Studies at St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University and from 2022 to 2024 he pursued a master’s degree in classical singing with Prof. Niko Isakov and Kiril Manolov at the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music. In 2023, he participated in a masterclass with Kaludi Kaludov. In 2022, he won Third Prize at the First International Competition “J. S. Bach – Soli Deo Gloria” in Plovdiv, and in 2025 he received Second Prize at the International Competition “Franz Schubert” in Ruse. Since 2022, Georgi Beykov has been a member of the madrigal ensemble Cantanti Dai Monti Verdi, conducted by Severin Vassilev, and has taken part in masterclasses with internationally renowned specialists in early music. He is also active in the field of contemporary music: he appears as a soloist in the Bulgarian National Radio recording of Velislav Zaimov’s Requiem (2023); participates in the concert‑performance Dialogue with Solitude in the Chamber Songs of Todor Popov at the State Opera in Stara Zagora and records the cycle for the Bulgarian National Radio (2024); and is a soloist in the premiere of the opera King Adam by German composer Jan Tegtmeyer at the “Golden Diana” Music Festival in Yambol (2025). In 2024, he made his debut as Don Pasquale in Donizetti’s opera, in a concert performance with the Sinfonietta Shumen conducted by Deyan Pavlov.
