Biography

Young Romanian composer GEORGE DENIS ARDELIAN has been involved in music since childhood, initially playing the accordion and later turning to musical composition, a field in which he developed a deep passion for symphonic and film music. He studied composition and production at the Music Academy in Bonn, Germany. Among the films for which he has composed music are Nothing More and Nothing Different (2025, directed by Lucas Neagu); Timing (2024, nominated for the GOPO Awards in Romania); Asimptomatic (2024); Friday the 3rd (2023); as well as several short films, including The Universe and You See What I Deal With. George Denis Ardelian is the winner of the 2025 Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition. This award gives him the opportunity to work with some of the most successful contemporary film music composers during the FMF Young Talent Award workshops held in Poland: the American Miriam Cutler and Lebanese-French composer Gabriel Yared, known for his work in French and American cinema. Also in 2025, George Denis Ardelian was selected as a resident composer for the Bled Music Festival in Slovenia.
