František Škvor

František Škvor (1898–1970) was a Czech composer and conductor of the National Theatre in Prague (1923–1960). His father was a violist in the Orchestra of National Theatre in Prague. After his leaving examination on Gymnasium in Prague and 3 years millitary service Škvor studied jurisprudence at Charles University, and in the same time studied privately composition with V. Novák and piano with A. Mikeš. Between 1923–1960 he was conductor in The National Theatre in Prague.
