Biography
EVGENIA RALCHEVA graduated in opera singing at the New Bulgarian University. She made her debut at the Stara Zagora Opera as Violetta Valery from Verdi's La Traviata. She studied with the world-famous mezzo-soprano Alexandrina Milcheva and graduated from her Sacra Academy . She won first prize at the Beach of Hope International Music Competition in Albena. She was a finalist in the Young Opera Voices competition, organized by the Sofia Opera, being a soloist at the Ruse Opera House. She won second prize at the Boris Hristov International Competition "or the performance of Mimi from La bohème. She has participated in festivals such as "Apollonia", "Sofia Music Weeks", (where she performs for the first time in Bulgaria "Stabat Mater" by Bach - Pergolesi), "March Music Days", "Philippi" (Greece) and others. In 2015 she started working at the Plovdiv Opera, where she won the Plovdiv Award for the role of Angelica in Sister Angelica and performed "Four Last Songs" by Richard Strauss under the direction of Maestro Emil Tabakov - for this achievement she received "Crystal Lyre" from UBMTD . She works with famous Bulgarian conductors such as Mihail Angelov, Metodi Matakiev, Emil Tabakov, Nayden Todorov, Boris Hinchev, to name the few.
