Emilia Kircheva was born in Burgas. She graduated from Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National School for Musical and Performing Arts in her hometown, with two majors: piano and classical singing. She is an alumna of Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in the class of prof. Mila Dyulgerova. She has participated in the master classes of Anna Tomowa-Sintow, Darina Takova and Vera Nikolova. Elena is a prize bearer of several competitions – European Youth Competition “The Crown of Tarnovgrad”, “Magic” and “Varban Varbanov”.
She made her debut as a student with the role of Rosina from Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. During her studies she has also participated in Rossini’s The Marriage Contract- (Mme Fanny), Love Potion (Adina) and Donizetti’s Don Pasquale – (Norina).
She has participated in Sofia Philharmonic production since 2012 : “Acis and Galatea“, in the role of Damon. She has also participated in many productions by Ljubka Biagioni: Nannetta in Falstaff, solo soprano in Mozart’s “Requiem” and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” as well as in concerts with arias and ensembles in Bulgaria and Germany.
In 2013 she made her international debut with the role of Naiad from “Ariadne of Naxos” by Richard Strauss, as part of the festival “Herrenchiemsee Festival“, Germany.
In 2015, she debuted as Lucia in Gaetano Donizetti’s opera Lucia di Lammermoor.
Emilia Kircheva maintains rich chamber repertoire of Italian, French, German, Austrian, Bulgarian and Russian authors.
