Biography

ELITSA MIRCHEVA (Soprano) studied piano in the class of Arinka Vateva at Sava Dobroplodni High School in Shumen, then graduated in Choral Conducting in the class of prof. Teodora Pavlovic at the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music. She studied Choral Conducting with Paul Spicer at the Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK as part of the European Union's Erasmus+ programme. She participated in master classes in conducting with Neil Ferris and Frieder Bernius, as well as piano masterclasses of Ludmil Angelov, Aglika Genova and Lyuben Dimitrov, Sachiko Kodama, Tamara Poddubnaya, Madalena Soveral, Teresa Trevisan, Roberto Turin, Flavio Zaccaria and others. As a pianist he has won prizes at many national and international piano competitions (“St. Obretenov" in Provadia, "Classics and Modernity" - Stara Zagora, "Dimitar Nenov" - Razgrad, "Varban Varbanov" - Burgas, "Slavyanskie vstrechi" - Russia, "Hopes, Talents, Masters" - Dobrich, "J. S. Bach and His Contemporary" - Plovdiv, etc.). Together with Svetlomir Zlatkov as a piano duo they also won a series of prizes at the competitions "Franz Schubert" - Ruse, International Piano Competition for Four Hands in Valberg (France), International Competition for Young Pianists in Nis (Sarbia), "Music and the Earth" - Sofia, "Mila Mihailova" - Varna , "Classics and Modernity" - Stara Zagora, etc. From 2017 to 2021 she was part of a piano duo with prof. Rostislav Yovchev. Since 2018 she has been a chorister in the National Philharmonic Choir and she also teaches piano. In parallel with her piano performances, Elitsa Mircheva has numerous concert appearances as a soprano in a wide range of styles with well-known vocal ensembles: ensemble for early music Cantanti DAI MONTI VERDI with conductor Severin Vassilev, Impression vocal ensemble at the Sofia Philharmonic, Prof. Pancho Vladigerov Chamber Academic Choir to National Academy of Music.
