Dino Imeri

DINO IMERI (1990) ranks among the finest pianists and composers to have emerged in recent years. He has performed at numerous festivals and collaborated with outstanding musicians, as well as eminent orchestras. He also authored original film music, classical works and arrangements. Born in Skopje, Macedonia in a family of musicians, Imeri initially studied various musical genres with his father, composer Damir Imeri, andsubsequently specialized in classical music, studying with renowned Russian professors Lyudmila and Boris Romanov, as well as pianist Simon Trpceski, becoming at the age of twenty-two a Master of Musical Art, graduating with honours and excellent distinction. His career was launched in 2008 with an outstanding debut recital in Skopje, followed by many critically acclaimed performances at Ohrid Summer Festival, Struga Poetry Evenings, “Vatroslav Lisinski” hall in Croatia, “Esterhazy” Palace, “Liszt Zentrum”, J. Haydn Conservatory Hall in Austria, Piano Plage Festival in France, as well as collaborations with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, FMU Symphonic Orchestra, FMU Chamber Orchestra, FMU Big Band Orchestra, Macedonian Opera & Ballet Orchestra. Ten years after his debut recital, Imeri has opened the season of the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra in their new concert hall with a sensational performance to enormous critical and public acclaim and subsequently became the first Macedonian artist to completely sell-out the new recital hall in Skopje with an exceptional recital program. In 2010, Imeri signed an exclusive contract with the “European Piano Program” which created a long-term collaboration with many European promoters and prestigious festivals. He is the recipient of many awards such as Laureate of Foundation “Tomislav Zografski”, “Virtuosi” award in the “Young Musical Artist” category as well as a nomination for “International Recognition”, he was ranked in the Top 10 European Pianists according to the European Piano Competition held in Normandy, France, “St. Mother Therese” award for his Humanitarian Efforts, as well as many other national and international competition awards. He has collaborated with many exceptional musicians such as conductors Nayden Todorov, Josep Vicent, Sasha Nikolovski-Gjumar, Dijana Imeri Ilkoska, Borjan Canev, Bisera Chadlovska, Thomas Herzog, Clemens Schuldt, Sasho Tatarchevski, Philipp Hesketh, violinists Bojan Ilkoski, Aleksandar Ivanov, Kliment Todoroski, cellists Kiril Josifov, Corinne Morris, singers Ana & Igor Durlovski, Biljana Josifov, Libuse Santorisova, Aleksey Shapovalov, Blagoj Nacoski, Luigi Schiffano. He composed the original music for the motion picture “Sacrifice” produced by Small Moves Production and directed by Marija Dzidzeva, as well as original music co-created with his brother composer and guitar player Adi Imeri, for the critically and publicly acclaimed TV Show “In Treatment” produced by Kino Oko and directed by Vardan Tozija. His discography includes three recorded compact discs. He has also recorded for and collaborated with well-known companies and recording labels such as the television companies ORF-Austria, France 3 Channel, HRT1 & HRT3, MRTV, and the F.A.M.E.’s Film and Music Recording Company, alongside many others.
