Biography
The Soprano DIMITRINA KECHEDZHIEVA graduated in Classical Singing from the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia, in the class of Prof. Svilen Raichev and Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Georgieva. As a student she participated in the joint project of the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music and the Burgas Opera in the presentation of the musical Shumla polka by Parashkev Hadzhiev, performing the role of Stanka. Since 2018 she has been singing as a freelance artist in children's performances of the Sofia Opera. She has won a scholarship to study at the Boris Christoff Academy in Rome, Italy. She participates in the master classes of Krassimira Stoyanova, Rayna Kabaivanska, Evgenia Dundekova, Yordanka Derilova, the director Vera Nemirova and others. She won the First Prize at the Art Stars - the Stars of Art Competition in Varna (2022), Third Prize at the International Competition for Young Opera Singers Ghena Dimitrova (2023). She made her debut in the roles of Musetta from Puccini's La bohème and Gilda from Verdi's Rigoletto, as well as in several operas by W.A. Mozart: Zerlina from Don Giovanni, Susanna from The Marriage of Figaro, The Queen of the Night from The Magic Flute, Madame Hertz from The Impressario. In 2024 she took part in the OPERA OPEN Festival at the Ancient Theatre - Plovdiv as the Priestess from Verdi's opera Aida. She also participated in the Katya Popova International Festival in the role of Musetta from the opera La Boheme with the Plovdiv Opera House. Starting from 2023 she has been a soloist of the Blagoevgrad Chamber Opera.
