Daniel Angelov

DANIEL ANGELOV is a Bulgarian theatre, film, and voice actor. He is known for his roles in numerous films and television series, including Us, Ours, and Yours and Brothers. Born in Sofia, he graduated from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts with a degree in Acting for Dramatic Theatre in the class of Prof. Stefan Danailov (2004). While still a student, he performed at the Sofia Theatre in the productions Suede Jacket, Rush Hour, and Roberto Zucco. In 2000, he joined the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, making his debut in Ghosts in Naples, performing alongside Chocho Popjordanov, Anton Radichev, Velko Kanev, and Georgi Mamalev. One of his most notable roles at the National Theatre is Vasil in Hashove, directed by Alexander Morfov. Daniel Angelov has appeared in many other productions on Sofia’s theatre stages, as well as in Bulgarian and international film and television projects. His television roles include: Vasil in Hashove, Agent Monev in Staklen Dom, Mario in Revolution Z, the partisan Totyu in The Tree of Life, Alex in Sex, Lies and TV, Milen in The Fourth Estate, Director Bojinov in Us, Ours, and Yours, and Dimitar Cherkesov in Brothers. He has also appeared in foreign productions, where he has had the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned actors such as Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Gerard Butler, Mel Gibson, Jason Statham, and others. Angelov is well known for his voice work, particularly in non‑synchronized dubbing of animated films such as The Incredibles, The Lion King, Shrek, and others.
