Celestine Yoong

Celestine Yoong Qian Yi was nurtured musically at the age of 3 and studied piano performance with Mr. Ng Chong Lim. Since 2010, she has actively participated in master classes with widely known musicians and professors. She has also won a variety of awards in the competitions particularly in North Macedonia, Taiwan, Xi’an (China), Italy, Singapore and Malaysia. She performed widely and participated in musical festivals in Asia and Europe such as ones in Austria, Russia, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovakia, Greece, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. Her special appearances include invitations to perform with the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan and with the National Symphony Orchestra in Panggung Istana, Budaya Malaysia.

At the age of 17, Celestine began her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. She has many performing experiences in solo recitals and chamber music, historical keyboard instruments including harpsichord and organ, last but not least, she was also involved in accompaniment music courses and having stage experiences with a variety of music instruments. Moreover, she was invited to perform on many occasions or events, such as the Concert of the International Chopin Society in Vienna, Rathaus Young International Pianists Series Concert.

In June 2022, Celestine completed her Bachelor Degree for Piano Performance at MDW – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. She now proceeds her masters studies with Prof. Christopher Hinterhuber.
