Catherine McMichael

Catherine McMichael (b. 1954) is an American composer, music pedagogue, conductor, arranger, pianist and music publisher. She studied at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, obtained her Bachelor of Music in Piano and later also her Master of Music in Chamber Music and accompaniment. Subsequently, she became a teacher at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) in Saginaw, Michigan. She has led courses and workshops at various establishments and institutes in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Her most popular work, "A Gaelic Offering" for flute quartet has been played around the world.
