Bülent Tarcan

Bülent Tarcan (1914-1991), born in Istanbul, was a Turkish composer, neurologist and brain surgeon. He is one of the founders of modern neurosurgery in Turkey and a musician of the second generation of contemporary Turkish composers after the group, called "Turkish Five" (Türk Beşleri). Among his most famous works are Suite №3, the ballet "Deli Dumrul", "Sakarya" - cantata for soprano, choir and orchestra and others.
