Biography
BORIS LUKOV (Tenor) graduated from the Music Academy in Sofia in the class of prof. Niko Isakov in 2009 and joined the Varna Opera House as a soloist (2013 - 2017). He perfected his roles with the great Bulgarian tenor Emil Ivanov. On the operatic stage, the young performer took on the roles of Turidu in Mascagni's opera Cavalleria Rusticana, Pollione in Bellini's opera Norma, partnering the iconic soprano Dimitra Theodosiou in the first edition of the Dionysia Opera Festival on the Greek island of Corfu. In March 2017 Boris Lukov made his debut in the role of Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini's opera Tosca on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. His repertoire also includes roles in Verdi's operas - Alfred Germont from La Traviata, Ishmael from Nabucco, Macduff from Macbeth, Cassio from Otello and Hernani from the opera of the same name, as well as Pinkerton from Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Boris Lukov has performed in a number of international concerts. He has appeared at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Rachmaninoff Hall at the Moscow Conservatory, Beethoven Hall at the Bolshoi Theatre, Symphony Space on Broadway (New York), and Bulgaria Hall. He is a soloist of the Rousse Opera House.
