Bianca Koch

German soprano BIANCA KOCH is born in Northern Germany and currently based in Berlin. Following her voice studies in Munich with Fenna Kuegel-Seifried and Daphne Evangelatos, she continued her education in Paris, attending the courses with Daniel Ottevaere at the Ecole normale de musique de Paris. During her studies she gave her debut as soprano in the World premiere of the Tanztheater piece Vogeler, staged by Austrian dancer, choreographer and theatre director Hohann “Hans” Kresnik at the Theater Bremen. Bianca Koch attended master classes held by Inva Mula, Helen Donath, Brigitte Fassbaender, Siegfried Jerusalem, Helmut Deutsch and Rudolf Janssen. Bianca Koch made her debut in 2007 in the part of Galsuinde in Reinhard Keiser’s1715 opera Fredegunda. Then followed many appearances in operas by Handel, Mozart, Britten, Tchaikovsky and in operettas by Johann Strauss and Franz Lehar, among others. She was awarded the First Prize Kulturkreis Gasteig Munich, First Prize from the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Berlin and Second Prize at the Swiss Schlossoper Haldenstein Chur Competition. Recipient of the Richard Wagner Stiftung (2004 Bayreuth), Deutschen Bühnenverein (2007 München) and Musica Mallorca. Bianca Koch has worked with conductors like Philippe Auguin, Ulf Schirmer, Eric Solen, Tetsuro Ban, Katalin Varadi, among others, and directors like Hans Kresnik, Jiri Nelvasil, Imre Halasi, Tilman Knabe, Tatiana Guerbaca, to name just a few.
