Bernd Thewes

Bernd Thewes (b. 1957, Saarbrücken) is German composer and music teacher. He studied school music in Saarbrücken and musicology in Mainz. From 1988-1997 he was artistic director of the Illinger Burgfest für Neue Musik together with Michael Gross. He wrote concert works for solo instruments, as well as orchestral compositions, semi-concertante mixed forms, radiophonic projects, music theater, sound installations, electronic music, (silent) film music.
