The stage performances of AUBRY BALLARÒ, a lyric coloratura Soprano with exceptional bel canto technique, have captured the attention of audiences in recent years. The young American singer graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. She worked on her singing development with baritone Louis Ledesma and soprano Maureen O’Flynn, as well as Duane Mahy, professor of voice at the Cleveland Institute of Music in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ms. Ballarò has successfully competed in prestigious competitions: she won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (2017), the Bologna International Singing Competition (2019), the Vincerò World Competition (2021) in Naples, and the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (2022), and was a finalist in the Jensen Foundation Competition in New York (2022).

Under the baton of Steven Mercurio, she sang Micaëla in Carmen in the 2020 Festival de Musique de Saint Barthélemy production, as well as popular opera arias in a concert organised by the Festival in 2021.

Ms. Ballarò received a standing ovation from the Bulgarian audience. Her brilliant debut as Lucia di Lammermoor on the stage of the Stara Zagora State Opera  in 2022 was the beginning of a series of successful international appearances. Next came her participation in the Princeton Festival, where she sang the role of Madame Hertz in their production of Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor. In 2023 she returned to the Stara Zagora State Opera as Violetta in La Traviata, and then performed Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. A special place in her repertoire are the classical bel canto roles in Donizetti’s operas.
