Anna Fedorova

Ukrainian pianist ANNA FEDOROVA (b. 1990) established her name with early stage appearances and successful performances as a soloist and chamber musician. From Argentina and the United States through Europe to Japan, she has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls, at prestigious music festivals such as the one in Verbier, Gstaad, Musikdorf  Ernen (Switzerland), festivals in France, Italy, Scotland, the United States, Poland, Trieste, the Corfu Festival of Arts, Koblenz (Germany). Among the orchestras which she has appeared with are the Philharmonia Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic (London), Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Kyoto Symphony, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic, Residentie Orkest, and the Camerata Amsterdam (Netherlands), Orchestre Lamoureux (France), the Orquestra Filarmonica de Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (Switzerland), Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional de Mexico, the Israel Chamber Orchestra.

Fedorova grew up professionally at the Nikola Lysenko Music College in Kiev in the class of Boris Fedorov. She graduated with honors from the Royal College of Music under the direction of Norma Fischer. She studied at the Piano Academy in Emola, Italy with Leonid Margarius. She has specialized under world-renowned musicians such as Alfred Brendel, Menahem Pressler, Stephen Isserlis and Andras Schiff, and two-time laureate of the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Scholarship Award at the International Keyboards Institute & Festival (New York, USA). Anna has claimed top prizes at numerous international piano competitions, including the International Rubinstein ‘In Memoriam’ piano competition, the Moscow International Frederick Chopin Competition for young pianists, the Lyon Piano Competition, and recently became recipient of the Verbier Festival Academy Award.

In 2019, she released a solo CD of Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 1 and Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini with the Orchestre Saint Gallen. In 2021 he records a solo album of Chopin’s works and a double album of double bassist Nicholas Schwartz. She released a CD with the Turkish cellist Jamal Aliyev and works by Russian composers, two duet CDs with German cellist Benedict Kloeckner and works by Chopin and Franck. In 2016 she recorded Rachmaninoff’s Third Concerto.

Recent performances include engagements with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, tours of Japan with the State Symphony Capella of Russia and Brasil with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Sintra Festival in Portugal, and new solo CD release with Channel classic called “Storyteller”, tangos with Marcelo Nisinman in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam the Koblenz Festival and the Stift Festival.
