Andrea Chudak

Even before beginning her studies at the Hans Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, soprano ANDREA CHUDAK had already sung in numerous opera productions at the Kleist Theater Frankfurt/Oder. She studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe. She performs extensively in concerts and on opera stages and further deepens her training in master classes with mentors such as Peter Schreier and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. She has won many awards at national and international competitions, including the Emmy Destinn Singing Competition in Budweis (Budějovice). She has been a soloist at the Pfalz Theatre in Kaiserslautern, the Youth Opera of the State Opera in Stuttgart, the Landestheater in Detmold, the Deutsche Oper and the State Opera in Berlin, the Theater an der Wien, the Handel Festival at the Baden State Theater in Karlsruhe, among others. She has worked with the Kunming Symphony Orchestra under Cheng Lei, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra under Gert Sell, the Philharmonie der Nationen under Justus Frantz, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra under Werner Stiefel and Uwe Serr, the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra under Stefan Fraas and Jiří Malát, and the Central Saxon Philharmonic Orchestra under Stefan Fraas. Andrea Chudak's engagements include the Festival of European Music in the Meistersaal Berlin, the "Festival Schloss Britz " and the Kleist at the Maxim Gorki Theater; as well as Lied: Strahl in Kempten and Les Notes en Bulles in France. With over 20 released CDs, Andrea Chudak's body of work is well-documented. The first recording of Johann Strauss‘ operetta „Der Waldmeister“ was nominated fort he „International Classical Music Award“ (ICMA) and the double-CD „MEYERBEER: vocal“ presenting rediscovered unknown by Giacomo Meyerbeer, believed to be lost, received nominations in three categories fort he OPUS KLASSIK. Her repertoire spans from the Renaiccance to compositions dedicated to her.
