Northern Macedonia’s great opera prima ANA DURLOVSKI studied singing at the University of Skopje’s Faculty of Music. After her debut at the Macedonian Opera in Skopje as Lucia di Lammermoor, she toured opera houses in Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Albania. In 2006 she made her debut at the Vienna State Opera as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, a role she has also performed at the Bavarian State Opera, the Berlin State Opera and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

From 2006 to 2011 she was a soloist at the Staatstheater Mainz, and since 2011 she has been a member of the Staatsoper Stuttgart. Her leading roles include: Sophie (Rosenkavalier), Musetta (La Boheme), Manon (Manon), Amina (La sonnambula), Morgana (Alcina), La Folie (Platée), Soeur Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites), Zerbinetta (Ariadne), Violetta (La traviata), Olympia (Les Comtes d’Hoffmann), Gilda (Rigoletto), Adela (The Bat), Elvira (I puritani).

In 2014, Ana Durlovski made her debut at the MET in New York as Queen of the Night. She was also invited to perform this role at the Bavarian State Opera, Baden-Baden (with Sir Simon Rattle), Madrid, Dresden, Berlin and the Bregenz Festival. In Bayreuth she sang the Waldvogel, the Voice of a Forest Bird in Wagner’s Siegfried (2016, 2017). Recent appearances include the Nightingale in Die Vögel by Braunfels at the Cologne Opera and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Bielefeld. Ana Durlovski also performs regularly in concerts and recitals. She is a member of the ensemble “Alea” for New Music.
