Adrian Hollaender

Adrian Eugen Hollaender has served as a jury member in numerous international music competitions and, for decades, has successfully fulfilled the role of International Artistic Consultant to the renowned Vienna-based artists’ agency Hollaender-Calix. The agency collaborates with major music institutions, concert halls, opera houses, festivals, conductors, singers, and instrumentalists worldwide. In addition, he has delivered lectures on music topics at prominent educational platforms.

He received his cultural education in Vienna and abroad, studying piano with Prof. Hedwig Langer; solfeggio, composition, conducting, and music history with Prof. Franz Carda at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna; and singing with Prof. Toma Popescu. He also benefited from special coaching by legendary artists such as Franco Corelli, Giuseppe di Stefano, Alfredo Kraus, Gianni Raimondi, Luciano Pavarotti, Fedora Barbieri, Gino Bechi, and Piero Cappuccilli.

Adrian Hollaender has authored numerous articles and books on cultural subjects, including the internationally acclaimed book Great Legends of Opera, dedicated to leading opera singers of past and present, as well as the bestseller Addio, Luciano – the very private Pavarotti, offering a detailed analysis of the personality, artistry, and vocal technique of Luciano Pavarotti.

He has worked as a recording supervisor and producer for professional classical recordings with leading orchestras, conductors, and soloists. Furthermore, he has established himself as a stage director and producer of cultural events such as “Musik ohne Grenzen” at Vienna City Hall, opera gala evenings featuring famous opera scenes, the “Tribute to Franco Corelli,” and the festival series “Stars of Tomorrow” in Vienna. He initiated and directed the latter for many years under the patronage of the Romanian Ambassador in Vienna and the Slovak Ambassador in Vienna.

He also serves as consultant to the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, he has explored the specific traditions of the Viennese operetta, staging operettas internationally and making successful concert appearances in Vienna and abroad.

Alongside his musical career, he studied law at the University of Vienna, passed the bar examination with distinction, and became a respected expert in international law, publishing numerous professional articles and books in the field.
