Colette Boushell

Dublin-born COLETTE BOUSHELL is an honours graduate of the Conservatory of Music and Drama Dublin and an alumnus of the International Opera School at the Royal College of Music, London where she studied under Lillian Watson. Even as a student, she won many scholarships and awards from various institutions and graduated with the McCulloch Prize for Opera, currently studying with American soprano Cynthia Jacoby-Deventer. Colette is an experienced recitalist and performer, having sung much of the popular concert repertoire in many prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Canterbury Cathedral, Händel Halle in Germany, the Opera City Concert Hall in Tokyo, Aichi Arts Centre Nagoya and Izumi Concert Hall in Osaka. Her operatic repertoire includes the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen , Sandrina (La Finta Giardiniera), Titania (Midsummer Night’s Dream) , Gilda (Rigoletto) , Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), and Musica/ Proserpina (L’Orfeo). Her recent engagements include performances of Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem and a recital of Irish song with pianist Maksim Štšura at the Athenaeum Club in London.
